Marine biologists still research sea life but with the better technology and understanding we have, they can make comparisons. They use reports written that date all the way back to the Challengers expedition. People send robotic machines into the sea to get a closer look at what us humans cant get to.

It would take ten ships ten years to explore the whole ocean. teams of scientists are mapping and recording the ocean as much as possible.

From the research that all the scientists around the world are doing we know climate change is badly effecting the sea and animals that live in it. We know about this because of the temperature of the sea is getting higher and the icebergs are melting because of this.
