‘Oliver’s Fruit Salad’
&
St George’s Day
Please talk about which fruits you, your child and other family members enjoy eating and why. Perhaps you could try some new ones at the weekend…
If your child’s target sheet is in their wallet please fill it in this weekend. If they have not yet met their target please make a note of what they found tricky.
When we celebrate St George’s Day next Thursday we would like each child to make their own shield. Your child will need to design it at home using the template provided and bring it in on Thursday morning. Please encourage your child to think about which pattern, texture or picture they would like to create. Along with the design we ask that you also send in a large empty cereal box (that has not had any nuts in) and any other items that your child has decided they would like to use. Please make sure these are all clearly named.
We will have many exciting activities for the children on Thursday including puppet and giant dragon making, as well as an obstacle course. Throughout the rest of the week we will of course be making yummy fruit kebabs and making patterns with fruit. We are very excited about the start of the ‘Food Dudes’ programme next week for F2 and we look forward to seeing you on Tuesday at 3pm for the information meeting. Please come to the main entrance a little before 3pm for a prompt start. Information/consent letters have been sent out to children in F2 and are also displayed outside the Foundation Unit.
Apologies...to F1 parents. The template for the shield will be put in wallets on Monday. If you would like to create your own and get started this weekend, please do. Alternatively the link to the website we used is: http://www.activityvillage.co.uk/decorate-the-shield
