Please check you are up to date with www.mymaths.co.uk.
Time for some revision on 3 digit numbers … please click on the Venn diagram to watch the videos and try the worksheets and activities! Just do a little bit each day.
If you have a printer at home try the Twinkl worksheet and put in your book.
If not just copy the questions into your book and try a few!
In your CPG Mental Maths Book by this Friday make sure you have worked up to page 20. If not, keep going! Also practice your 6X table.
Science - LIGHT
In your blue book I want you to make a list of all the things you can think of that produce light. Then answer these two questions:
- Click on the SUN to learn about light and dark. Watch the videos and take the quiz!
- Shine a torchlight on the following objects and make a note of what happens:
- A glass of water - transparent object
- A mug or cup - opaque object
- A shiny spoon - reflective object
Move the torch around the objects to see how the light behaves. Write down your findings and what these words mean - transparent, opaque and reflective. What other things around your house are transparent, opaque and reflective?
TOPIC and DT - Parthenon
The Greeks LOVED building incredible temples to worship their gods and
goddesses. Find out about the Parthenon.
- Who was it built for?
- How many columns does it have?
- Build a model of the Parthenon using toilet rolls! You might need to use a cereal box and other bits and pieces from your recycling bin! To help there are some ideas if you click on the picture on the Parthenon. Don't forget to send Miss Payne a photo when you are finished.
- If you prefer to draw the Parthenon or create your own piece of art work that is fine too.
- You could even find out about other famous ancient Greek buildings and who they were for!
