Once upon a time there was an ordinary, little boy called Tom who lived with his Grandad in a small, quiet, a bit boring village. One rainy day, when Tom couldn't play outside in the garden, he decided to explore his Grandad's attic. He loved looking at all the amazing, old things that his Grandad kept hidden in different boxes and treasure chests. When his Grandad was a young man he worked as an archeologists in Egypt so he told Tom a lot of stories about Egyptian culture. Going through all those unique and unusual objects from Grandad's collection in the attic, Tom spotted something which he never saw before: a sparkly, golden amulet! He also noticed some hieroglyphics at the back of it; but when he picked it up and tried to clean it Tom got sent back in time to ancient Egypt. All of the sudden he found himself inside a dark, enormous pyramid. Tom knew very well that a pyramid is a Pharaoh's tomb! Instead of getting scared like every child would Tom got really exited and grinned. What an amazing adventure he thought, looking around while still holding the amulet in his hand. Just few meters away from him was a big, gold sarcophagus with four decorated canopic jars next to it. Tom really wanted to open it to see if there was a mummy inside, but the sarcophagus was too heavy. Then Tom heard footsteps coming towards him. He felt like a proper tomb robber but all he wanted was to explore that fantastic pyramid. Unfortunately for him there was no time to do it, he needed to escape and escape fast to avoid unexpected danger, he had to find an exit to be able to leave the pyramid. After a few minutes Tom managed to escape from inside of the pyramid and in front of his eyes was a colossal and monumental Great Sphinx. He realized he was in Giza! The heat of the Sun and the hot sand under his feet made Tom feel very weak. He fainted and dropped his amulet.
When Tom woke up he was at his Grandad's attic again with the amulet nowhere to be found!
