The Princesses Saviour

Gazing at the radiant Princess lying lazily in her bed at the top of the palace, buried under many blankets he instantly fell in love with her. Back at home he had gotten a message from the Queen that informed him of the destruction of a nearby village caused by a stony-eyed stranger. He could tell that the Queen was concerned. She did not want her beloved daughter to become wed to a man so cold hearted however much her husband wants the Princess to be warm once again.

Running up to the castle the Prince had so much in his head: What would the King say upon his arrival? Did the King know that he was coming, had the Queen told him? And most of all: would the Princess like him as he did her? There is only one way to tell he thought and he knocked on the vast, heavy, wooden palace door. Immediately a servant answered the door "Hello, young man," he said "who would you like to see?"

"The King, please," replied the Prince politely

"Who wishes to see me?" asked the booming voice of the king

The prince was as nervous as a bird of prey, he had not planned for the King to act like this, the Prince replied trembling " I have come to see the Princess,"

"Well she is lonely," he said truthfully, as lonely as a tree without leaves to comfort it, "Go see the servant by that door, he will lead you to my daughter" he said pointing to a servant. But as the Prince went up he stopped him

"Wait, why do you want to see my beloved?"

"To save her from the stoney-eyed stranger and to stop him from creating any more destruction in your kingdom," he said proudly

"how dare you! She will be warm once again, do not take that away from her!"

" I am just going to help her, "he told him

"Security!" the King roared
