Story

He had huge ears and purple eyes and he asked the girl why she was there. He offered to help her turn the straw into gold if she gave him her gold necklace. He did help her and then disappeared.

The next day the room was full of gold. The king was astonished and told the guards to put her in an even bigger room with more straw. Later that day the creature came back again and he asked her for her gold ring in exchange for help. She gave him her gold ring and he turned the straw into gold.

The next morning the king returned and his eyes widened at the site of so much gold he again ordered the guards to put her in a bigger room with more straw. The king then promised if she turned the straw into gold this time he would marry her and she would be queen.

That evening the creature returned but the millers daughter had nothing left to give him. The creature said if she gave him her first born child then he would help her and she fearfully agreed.

The next day the king returned to find the room full of gold and he kept his promise to marry the miller's daughter.

A couple of years passed and her first child was finally born. The creature appeared again but she didn't want to give her baby to him so he promised if she figured out his name in 3 days she would be able to keep her child..

For 2 days she guessed hundreds of names but none of them were right. On the second evening she asked a messenger to follow the creature home to see if he could find out his name. Luckily on the way home the creature sung a song which in the last line said the words "no one will guess my name for it is Rumpelstiltskin.

On the third day the creature returned to the palace and the miller daughter continued to guess names to trick him into thinking she didn't know his real name. After an hour of guessing she finally blurted out the name Rumpelstiltskin! The creature was so angry that he stomped so hard on the floor he created a huge hole which he fell into and was never seen again.
