Developmental dysplasia of the hip is a congenital condition that you can get at birth and it is not just something that you can get an operation on and you will be fine afterwards. It occurs in every once in a thousand live births. In DDH the hip socket may be shallow, letting the femoral head , slip in and out of the hip socket. having this condition is very emotional for many people because it can cause a lot of pain in the hip.

Sometimes it can effect different parts of the human body in other words, the leg may appear shorter on the side that the dislocated hip is and the folds in the skin of the thigh or buttocks may appear uneven and lots more.
