A Book Review on the Butterfly Lion
A boy called Bertie runs away from a boarding school in England.
He meets this old lady on the street and the old lady tells Bertie about a white lion cub from Africa (another
boy) who happened to be her husband.
When he was older he joined the army and then won the Victoria Cross.
The old lady and her husband did a chalk drawing of the butterfly lion on a hill near where they lived after
he died to remember his life..
The story gets its name from butterflies which like to land on chalk, especially in rain.
At the end of the story Bertie finds out the old lady wasn't real.
I really like the book as it combines animals and a good story.
