The hurricane

27-5-1999 was Friday morning. A hurricane came in Sally Street. From Sally Street some people wanted to tell us something about the hurricane. The hurricane was big and it crashed cars and a lot of houses. A lot of people died.

"The wind smashed my shop window. Luckily, I was upstairs in my flat. When I went down to the shop there was water everywhere," said Mr Shah.

"I was driving home in my car. The wind blew my car off the road," said Mrs doctor Franks.

"The hurricane went quickly by my house but it destroyed my beautiful house," said Mr Parks.

"I am a nurse at the local hospital. We worked all night at the hospital. It was a terrible night," said Sally Dawns'.

It was a harsh experience for all the residents. The street was devastated by the hurricane.
