Gangsta Granny

Gangsta Granny is a great book that I have enjoyed for the past few weeks because it is full of adventure, humour and incredible challenges that you would never believe. The main character (Ben) has to go to his boring old granny's house every Friday afternoon because his mum and dad have to go to their ballroom dancing. Granny reeks of cabbage and for every meal it has to link up with cabbage :cabbage soup, cabbage cake, cabbage pie and chocolate surprise. The surprise is that it is not actually chocolate it's just full of cabbage. One day Ben was getting bored of just eating cabbage all the time so he politely asked her if she had anything other than cabbage but to his surprise she said that she had a silver jubilee tin full of biscuits at the top of the cupboard

. As quick as a flash Ben rushed to the kitchen and jumped on the foot stool. Just then Ben saw the most amazing thing he had ever seen in his whole entire life. It was diamonds, emeralds, sapphires and rubies. Ben was speechless. Just then granny was on her feet and was on her way to the kitchen ben panicked, he didn't know what to do so he just closed the old jubilee biscuit tin and jumped down the foot stool. His gran asked him if he found anything but he just said nothing. The next day Ben was so excited to go to his gran's house so he could have another look at the jewels but his dad said that she was out tonight. Ben was confused his gran never goes out of the house, Ben ought to check it out...
