It was a Saturday afternoon. Tilly and her mum went shopping in town. Tilly needed to buy a gift for her best friend.

Suddenly, it started raining. Tilly's mum had forgotten the umbrellas. They hurried to the shop and bought the gift.

Tilly's mum said they had to wait until the rain stopped. So they used a tree for shelter. They stood there for about an hour.

The rain didn't stop. Tilly and her mum had to go home. By the time they got home, they were drenched to the skin.
