"In the basement?" asked Lazlo, " My mum told me never to go inside there as bad things will happen to me."

"Do you really want to miss out on this exciting thing? Besides, your mum's not here to tell off you." said The Dark.

Should he do this? Was he really going to disobey his mum and let bad things happen to him? Finally, he made his decision, "Fine, I'll go."

"GREAT!" The Dark was ready to lure him into his trap. He looked down into the dark dingy and spooky basement.

CREAK!! The stairs were so old, they couldn't stand Lazlo's weight and their screams were the creaks that only Lazlo heard. He stopped. The silence was deafening. He looked down. How many stairs are there!? Even my feet can't walk down 500 stairs, but I can walk up 5 hills!, thought Lazlo. He reached the door ,which was made of rusted iron and had a padlock on the side of it, which also was rusted. " Um. Mr Dark. In need the password for the door." and that's when all of the evilness happened.

The door creaked. Darkness overcame his eyes, partially making him blind. A hint of gleaming light bordered a suspicious chest. The dark spoke again, " Open the chest, and you will find what you want." So he obeyed him like he was hypnotised and neared the chest. When he stood in front of the chest and opened it. Screams were heard inside the room and deafened Lazlo. what had happened?
