A car accident
On May 4, 2020 at 10.30 am a horrific accident occurred involving a young driver, a brand new black sports car and an old man near Cross Pharmacy in Blue Square, Fgura.
The driver was driving at high speed and the old man was crossing the street. He overlooked and hit the old man. The victim was rushed to hospital . The driver lost control of the car and it crashed against a huge tree trunk.
The driver was drunk and was driving under the influence of drugs.Allegedly, the old man was not crossing from a zebra crossing.
The driver suffered no injuries while the old man had a broken neck, leg and a broken arm.The sports car had its front bumper and bonnet smashed including the windscreen.
Police are still investigating.
