The Village
Descriptive writing by Riona Seguna
There was once a village in the middle of Africa. It was very small and not a lot of people lived in it. This village was called Mahu. Everybody knows each other and love to talk to each other because the village is so small. The paths in the village are dirty and rough. The village sometimes looks a bit like a zoo because all the chickens are running around flapping there their wings on the streets.
The people in the village are kind and
caring. The only problem is that the village has
is that it's very polluted. Also there the river is
polluted and they have to carry vases of clean
water from the standpipe on their heads. They
have to do this so their families can have water
for their daily needs.
The village houses are made with hard brick and the roofs are made with bright yellow hay. Sometimes because it's very polluted the horrible smell of the pollution will emanate throughout the whole village. The village also has strong winds that you can hear them whir from far away. The strong winds help the smell of pollution travel all around the village.
