Vertebrates have scaly skin.


The scales help them to prevent losing water through their skin.


Their skin is also dry.


They have a backbone.


They are cold-blooded.


They live on land.


They have lungs.


They lay eggs.


They fertilize their eggs internally.


They have a three or four chambered heart.






Some examples of reptiles: snakes, iguanas, chameleons and tortoises.
