Horrid Henry's Cunning Crush

It was a windy, Autumn day in King William Street and Horrid Henry was in a oh so very bad mood. All night the wind was hurling twigs and stones at the house therefore meaning he got no sleep. It was clear that today would be a very horrid day...

Henry trudged down the creaky stairs only to find mum and Peter in the car.

" Henry! Get dressed immediately!" shouted mum scornfully. Henry dashed up the stairs, popped on his usual clothes and sprinted down the stairs like a champion! That is until he fell and cut his face. Despite the pain he kept on going to the car. The cut in his face made him look quite frightful.

At the boring school of Ashdon Primary, Moody Margret said a very unhelpful comment:

"You look like creature from hell! No wait you are one!" Everybody laughed except a young girl in the corner. Henry was too horrid to notice the girl, let alone thank her! His mind was fixed on getting revenge on Margret. Luckily for her, the bell rang and a storm of children rampaged inside. Henry pushed through the cloud of children and battled his way into Miss Battle-Axe's classroom.

The smell of Ralph's farts filled the room, the terrible displays loomed and seemed to swirl in front of his eyes, the rough wood of the pencil splintering his hand, the ugly sound of the out of tune singing in the hall. All of it was overwhelming. now that he thought about it maybe he should have pretended he was ill so he wouldn't have to go to school. Just this once...

Whilst Henry having a nightmare of a dream, he was luckily broken out of it by the dreaded Miss Battle-Axe!

"HENRY!" roared miss battle-Axe "You scumbag! how many times can you be late!" Even with her rough voice Henry could still here a bit of desperation.

"Erm... 4070000000000000000 times. Promise I'm not lying" unfortunately Miss Battle-Axe could hear that he was lying and this was the last straw.

"Straight to the head masters office Henry!!!" wailed Miss battle-Axe with tears in her eyes.

"Please Miss I'll do anything! PLEASE!"
