The Earth

Earth is the fourth planet from the sun. A third of earth's surface is taken up by vast expanses of land, the continents. Today we divide the world into seven.

North America and south America are two separate continents. Across the Atlantic ocean sits Africa, a large continent straddling the Equator. Europe is separated from Africa by Mediterranean sea. the rest of all the other continents are Asia, Australia and Antarctica.

Volcanoes are made out of molten rocks. Inside the volcano it is filled with magma from all the way down from inside the earth. When the volcano erupts magma becomes lava.

Earth is made out of more water than land. Two examples are the Mediterranean sea and the Atlantic ocean, in these seas there are a lot of undiscovered creators. Most probably water on Earth has come from other planets as ice which then melted.

Planet Earth is magnificent and human beings should feel lucky to live in a place like this and should take more care of this planet because it is hard to find another planet like it.
