I am against cutting down the rainforest because it destroys animals habitat which can kill them and make them go extinct. This can happen to indigenes people living in the forests too.

Cutting down the rainforest causes climate change that can lead to forest fires and as a result 4 to 6 thousand animals die each year. Forests and rainforests cover 30% of our planet, they regulate our climate and act as our plant's lungs.

Half of the worlds tropical forests have been cleared already and more than half of the timber in the world are used up by just 22% of the population. An interesting fact is that most of our medicine is made from plants found in rainforests.

Some people would argue FOR destroying rainforests because they want to knock down the trees to make houses for the growing population or tables, chairs, and paper they also do it to make farms for coco beans and other crops but if we cut down the trees soon we won't be able to breath because rainforests and forests provide air for humans and animals so thats why we should not cut down the trees.
