THE STORM



Last week it was my 10th birthday. We planned to go to a restaurant in Imdina. But that morning the weather man said that today was going to hit Malta a very bad thunder storm.On TV they were advising people not to go out since it was going to be very dangerous.

We changed our plans and stayed at home in Żejtun . We live in a penthouse which s surrounded with wide glass doors. The storm could be seen very well. We could feel the wind blowing and the lightning since we are on top of a building.

When the storm started , the power went off with the first lightning . We were scared to death. We could hear our tableglass, we left outside , breaking. We had no reception, so we could not phone anyone. We were seeing the trees falling off. I have never felt that cold before .

Two things unusually happened in Malta during that terrific storm .One of them was that it started snowing and it is strange because in Malta's history this happened before. The other thing is that fish were being thrown from the sea to the shore . The waves were so big that the fish ended up on the shore.
