Hello and today I will be talking about E-safety and how to stay safe online.

Here are some tips to stay safe online:

  1. My first tip is don't give anyone your password, name, address, name of your school or any personal information about you or your family to any strangers. They might hack or go into your account and change stuff that might be important to you. This also applies for adults as well as children.
  2. My second tip is if you see something inappropriate or upsets you, immediately tell a trusted adult or guardian. This is so unknown people or strangers don't affect your health. This applies for children.
  3. My third tip is to not download or install anything on your computer without your parent's or guardian's permission. Things on a particular website might upset you. Or any other members might say bad things or comments to you. This applies for children.
  4. My fourth tip is don't visit a chat room without an adult's/parent's permission as some people (e.g. playing games) say inappropriate or upsetting comments in the chat rooms. This might upset you. This applies for children. Tip 3 and 4 are similar.
  5. My fifth and final tip to stay safe online is don't post pictures of yourself online without your parent's permission. This rounds up all the tips. This tip applies to children AND parents. I say parents because they should also be aware of what they post on Social Media as well. But they don't need to ask their parent's permission for posting them online.
