There has been a lot of arguing and debating over the past few weeks on whether children should receive homework there are many reasons for and against.

Firstly, Students should have homework because it prepares them for secondary school and college. Furthermore, homework adds much more knowledge and it's a good review of what they have learned at school. On the other hand, Having more and more homework creates stress for the child and tires them out.

Secondly, Children are in school 6 to 7 hours also, when they get home they would have to do even more work which creates stress. Maybe children don't have time to do their homework because they have so many chores to do. But someone may disagree with me because one of the ways a child learns is to review the things that they learned at school. Homework is a good way to involve a child's family in the learning process.

Thirdly, Children should not have to do homework because it causes stress to students and parents. Kids should be outside playing , keeping healthy and having a social life, not staying inside for 1-2 hours doing homework. It wastes valuable time that you're going to want back when you're older. On the other hand, Homework can be useful for widening knowledge on a topic. Students need to practice what they learn on their own time, at their own pace.

In conclusion, my opinion is that children should not receive homework as it creates stress and tires them out. Although, homework can be useful for revising tests.
