WHY DO UNSUPPORTED OBJECTS FALL TOWARDS THE EARTH?
Objects fall towards Earth because of gravity. The reason for this is because all the objects close to the Earth's atmosphere
which have a lighter mass than Earth are pulled back down towards it. No objects on the Earth will have more mass than Earth does. Therefore, even if you jump or throw upwards, it's coming back towards Earth.
Air resistance causes the bowling ball to hit the ground first. If
it wasn't for the Earth's atmosphere, no air resistance would happen so the feather
and the bowling ball would hit the ground at the same speed.
