1. Mercury = Mercury spins on its axis very slowly, but it orbits the Sun faster then the other planets.
2. Venus = Venus spins so slowly that its days lasts longer than its years.
3. Earth = Almost three - quarters of Earth's surface is covered in water.
4. Mars = You could jump three times higher on Mars than you can on Earth due to the planets weaker gravity.
5 . Jupiter = Jupiter weighs around 2.5 times as much as all the other planets put together.
6. Saturn = Saturn is the most distant planet that can normally be seen from Earth with the naked eye.
7. Uranus = The amount of sunlight that Uranus receives is only 0.25 per cent of that reaches Earth.
8. Neptune = Neptune has only ever been visited by one spacecraft - Voyager 2 in 1989.
