Our Cat Comes To live With Us

I will never forget the day when our cat came to live with us. Our cat was given to us by someone who was going to live abroad. Our cat was called Fudgie. Fudgie was very unusual because she was ginger but female. (Most ginger cats are male). We didn't realise until Fudgie came to our flat that she was scared of everything. When Fudgie arrived at our flat, she sprinted to our sofa and hid behind it. Fudgie spent most of her first month with us hiding behind the sofa! When she was more confident, she came out from behind the sofa and sat on the sofa next to me and started purring.

Fudgie is still a bit nervous but much better than when she first came to live with us. She is frightened of going in the garden because she is afraid of other cats. She will go outside but only for a short time before scuttling back inside. Fudgie sometimes follows my Mum around the garden and our flat. Fudgie can be a bit silly sometimes. She will suddenly start running around madly and pretend to pounce on a mouse!
