A warm welcome to all the children and their families in Foundation 2! The children are settling in beautifully and are having lots of fun. The learning theme next week will be New Beginnings.

For the challenge we ask that you share books about starting school. Please talk with your child about all of the things that they have experienced so far.

Next week we will continue to introduce the children to all of the exciting things we do in Foundation 2, like going to the school library and the ICT suite! Thank you to those parents who have already sent in a pair of earphones for their child. We ask that the earphones are sent in to school in a small box or container and that it is clearly named.

We would also like to take this opportunity to ask that you ensure that your child’s uniform and shoes are clearly named. We have already started to collect a pile of un-named jumpers and cardigans. If you have lost any items, please do come and speak to a member of the Foundation Team so that the items may be returned.

Please check that any food items that you send into school either in lunchboxes or as birthday treats contain no nuts or nut traces. We have a child in the Foundation unit with a serious nut allergy and it is important that every precaution is taken to ensure their safety. Thank you for your support.
