Facts about Venus

Even though Venus isn't the closest, to the sun it is still the hottest. This is because it's thick atmosphere, hot greenhouse gas carbon dioxide and clouds made out of sulfuric acid. The gas traps heat and keeps Venus toasty and warm. In fact, it is so hot on Venus, Metals like lead would be puddles of melted liquid. Venus is a very active planet. It has mountains and volcanoes. Venus is close to the size of Earth. Earth is just a little bit bigger. Venus is unusual because it spin the oppisite direction to Earth and most other planets. And it's rotations is really slow. It take 243 Earth days to spin around once. That is 5832 Earth hours. WOW! A year goes by fast. It take 225 Earth days all the way around the sun. That means a year on Venus is faster than a day on Venus. On Venus the sun rises every 177 Earth days. Venus, just like Mercury, also has no moons.
