The suprise

One day Mum and Dad wanted to surprise Katie. Mum called Katie to the garden. Mum said, "Come here, Katie. We've got something for you." So Katie went out to see what Mum needed to show her. Mum told Katie to go and check in the box.

Katie scurried across the garden to the box that was on a table under the tall tree. She looked in the box to see what was inside, but there was nothing in it. Katie said, "There isn't anything in the box."

So mum went to check under the table, but there was no such thing. Mum said, "I can't see anything under the table." Mum was so sad that they could not find what was in the box. But then Dad surprisingly saw something up the tree.

"Look!" exclaimed Dad. "There's something moving in the tree." Dad got the cat and gave it to Katie. That was the gift for her.
