Cold land

If you look in the east, you will see a frosty village. It was a small village but before the time it was cold, it was a hot and more like summer. Everyone loved the place and lots and lots of people lived there. Everything came to an end and suddenly the place was a cold land. Some nights a child would be kidnapped, the person who kidnapped the children are called StarjiK. He has a group of wolfves what make sure that the everyone in the village is a sleep.

Could you tell me what Starjik will do and what kind of land should i describe?
