The Accident

One day Steve and Mark were going to the cinema by bike. Steve told Mark to put on his helmet but Mark thought he was too cool to put on a helmet.

Half way there, they saw a cat going out of a fish restaurant and a dog following the cat. They were running all over the street! The cat was trying to get home with its fish and the dog was running after it. The dog came right up front to them and knocked them over. They both fell on the ground, hurt themselves and became unconscious. The owner of the restaurant called the ambulance to come and take them to the hospital.

When Mark regained his consciousness he found that he was in a hospital bed. He was surrounded by his mum, his aunt, his brother and his friend that was all right because he was wearing a helmet. His friend told him he should have worn a helmet so he wouldn't get injured so badly. His mum started crying because she thought he was seriously injured. The doctor came in and told her it's not as bad as she thought.

So when you are going on a bike in the middle of the road always wear a helmet to avoid getting injured!
