Misty Copeland was born on 1oth September 1982, unknowing of her incredible future talent of ballet. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri in the United States of America, although her Mother is Italian and her Father is German (her Mother is black also). In 1995, when Misty was just 13 she started dance in the San Pedro City Ballet (SPCB) and when she was 15 she won 1st place in the Music Centre Spotlight Awards- (MCSA). At the late teenage age she studied at the Lauridsen Ballet Centre. Misty Copeland continues her whizz-kid talent and starts working in the ABT Studio Company in 2ooo. In 2oo1 was when she joined her 2o year long career at American Ballet Theatre, one of the biggest Ballet industries in the USA. She was appointed Soloist in August 2oo7, and danced Swan Lake. In 2o16, she won the 8th Annual Shorty Awards for Dance. In 2o18, she played the Ballerina Princess in The Nutcracker and the Four Realms.
