Galileo Galilei



He was born in 1564 in Italy. He became an astronomer, physicist and mathematician. About the moon he observed that it is rough and uneven because it was covered in craters and mountains. He also observed that the sun was covered in darker areas called the sun spots. Also, he believed that the sun is in the center of the solar system. Today, he is viewed as an important astronomer and scientist.
