Katie's surprise

One day Katie was in her room reading when her mother yelled, "Katie come downstairs into the garden. I've got something for you!"

Katie rushed downstairs and went into the garden as told. She saw a box on the table. She looked inside the box but there was nothing in the box. Katie asked, "Why is there nothing in the box?"

Her mum was very confused. She searched under the table but it was nowhere to be found until dad heard a noise coming from a tree. It was the cat who had escaped from the box. When Katie found out that it was her cat, she was very happy and went to play with the cat.
