When I climbed a mountain

My friends invited me to climb an unconquered mountain. It was a challenge ,but I could not resist.

I set off with my tow fellow climbers Valentina and Yakira. It was the first time I had climbed a such high mountain.

It was like an icy pyramid, with sharp rocks and a thin path leading to the summit. It was steep sided with huge patches of slippery ice. The wind was so strong that it blew us back, but we carried on. Snow and wind battered at the little trees. We waer our goggles because the snow was so thick we could hardly see and the higher we climed the colder it grew. We nearly froze!

We saw a polor bear in the distance and there were some plants covered in the cold snow. We had to camp for the night and there was still a long way to go,but we were going to be brave. I lost my goggles , but Valentina had an extra pair in her bag. The scariest thing that happened was when I almost fell.

I looked from the high top and thought " I was the best climber ever! " I was so happy that we made it to the summit. I was so proud!
