1) there is no difference in them they just have different names depending on the country where they were formed.


2) To make it easier to track them.


3) Using satellites and aircrafts.


4) A hurricane is caused by warm air rising quickly. Other air is sucked in to take its place, this rises too, forming clouds. The clouds begin to spin as the earth does, creating a swirling storm. If there is enough warm water to power the storm, it strengthens into a hurricane.


5) A state of emergency is when people have to evacuate their homes and go to a place of safety.


6) They stock up on food, drinks, medicine and materials to protect their homes.


7) Hurricane Harvey. A years worth of rain fell in less than a week.


8) Teddies / toys, medicine, clothes, food, water, beds / blankets.


9) Huge effects. Local businesses would have to close and could get destroyed. People wouldn’t be able to work so wouldn’t have much money to spend.
