Deforestation

Deforestation is the chopping down of the Rainforests. 20% of the rainforests are already gone.The rainforests are the home of many unique plants and animals. I am going to right a debate about the arguments for and against deforestation.

Firstly i will start with AGAINST. If all the trees would be chopped down Oxygen levels would go down because the rainforests release 20% of the worlds oxygen. Global warming would dangerously rise. Furthermore lots of amazing animals that give us no harm would go extinct because of loss of habitat. In addition to this lots of bees and insects live in the rainforest who pollinate the plants which means that plants keep growing and give us oxygen. If deforestation were to happen then the roots of the trees woulod wither and die and stop holding the earth together. When the rain would come the soil would get washed away turning the rainforest into a desert.

On the other hand the rainforest generates income for poor people which they can use for food from farming. This also gives money to the country's government that can then give to the poor and help them.

Im certain that you can see what I believe about this topic. I think that we should protect our rainforests because they are such beautiful and important places. I am also a fan of animals and dont like to see them suffer. If we dont act quickly then rainforests will become a thing of the past.
