Sea Lions

1)Sea Lions are marine mammals classified as pinnipeds which means that they feature winged feet.

2) Male Sea Lions are mature for reproduction at about 3 years of age. However, in most instances they will not end up mating until they are at least 8 years old.

3) Roaring is a way that they can protect their territory when they feel threatened.

4)They always communicate to each other.

5)Sea Lions have three main predators to be careful of.

6)Sea Lions swim faster than killer Whales and sharks.

7)Sea Lions can often sense when Killer Whales or Sharks are close by.

8)They are well designed to allow them to live both in water and on land.

9)A Sea Lion has long flippers at the front and then shorter ones at the back.

10)Their flippers are very strong and able to help them move their body weight while on land.
