The anglo saxons would occassionally hunt animals for meat.Deer,wild boar and wild birds were also eaten.Fish were caught from rivers
THE FIRST ANGLO SAXON KING
Athelstan is known as the first king of England . In 924 he united the kingdom of Wessex with Mercia and in 927 with Northumbria,effectively creating England.
THE LAST ANGLO SAXON KING
In 1066,the last Anglo Saxon king of England died at the battle of Hastings.His name was King Harold. William from Normandy (France) became the new king and replaced all the Anglo Saxon lords with the Normans ones and so brought Anglo Saxon times to end.
