This is my unique version of 'Geography Lesson' by Brian Pattern.

Our teacher told us one day he would leave the school,

And travel around the wondrous word,

To places we never heard of,

And silky, white sand and the falling leaves that swirled.

Unfortunately the house he lived in was narrow and gloomy,

But to his imaginative eye,

Blue berry bushes grew,

And high up was a crystal, clear blue sky.

He spoke of luxurious islands surrounded by the warm turquoise sea, with schools of rainbow fish,

That were colourful and bold,

And I understood why he never left,

And shook off our school stranglehold.
