Ħaġar Qim

Ħaġar Qim is made close to Imnajdra temples. The weight of the stone is like a bus full of passengers and its build by neatly cut stones. The temple is protected by UNESCO. The templesstarted building in 3600 BC and ended at 2500 BC.

Mnajdra

Imnajdra temples are made close to Ħaġar Qim. Imnjdar temples are protected by UNESCO. They were build out of very large stone. One of the maltese coins found there.

The Imadjar Temlpes were build seperated in three groups side by side. The building of these temples were build from 3600 BC and ended at 2500 BC





gantija

Ġgantija temples are located Xagħar, Gozo. Here two temples are found side by side in

Xagħar, Gozo. The present people think that giants made these temples but they were made by humans like us with only an stone tool. The two temples were protected by UNESCO. They started building temples at 360 BC and ended at 2500 BC.







Tarxien Temples

These temples are located at Tarxien. These four temples were build over hundreds years ago and are very rich sculptures. Here may found the largest sculpture in the island of Malta. This statue represents fat woman wearing a skirt. The building of these temples started at 3600 BC and ended 2500 BC. The temples are protected by UNESCO







Hypogeum

The Hypogeum of Ħal Saflieni is a Neolithic subterranean structure dating to the Saflieni phase, 3300 – 3000 BC, in Maltese prehistory, located in Paola, Malta .

It is often simply referred to as the Hipogeum , literally meaning "underground" in Greek. The Hypogeum is thought to have been a sanctuary and necropolis, with the remains of more than 7,000 individuals documented by archeologists, and is among the best preserved examples of the Maltese temple building culture that also produced the Megalithic Temples and Xagħra Stone Circle.
