Imagine you are John Brown and you are interviewing Ben Wilson. Ben has discovered the bones of an unusual dinosaur. Nobody has ever found a dinosaur like this before. He has called it a WHATSITAURUS !!
Use the Practice Book p.50 to plan your work then write the questions and answers here below. Do not forget to write the name of who is talking at the side and do not use any speech marks.
John: Welcome Ben Wilson. I have heard that you have discovered an unusual dinosaur.
Ben: Yes, that is right. I have been waiting to make a discovery as big as this for years.
John: Well all that hard work payed off. Now tell me, where did you find the dinosaur?
Ben: I found the dinosaur at the beach.
John: What were you doing when you found the fossil?
Ben: To be honest I was not working but I saw a spot in the sand and it looked pretty fishy so
I started digging with a shovel that I had found in my car.
John: When you first saw it, how old did you think it was?
Ben: I thought that it was as old as all the other dinosaurs but from the way it reacted to the
sand, I think that was one of the much older dinosaurs.
John: I have been told that you have named this dinosaur the Whatsitaurus. Why did you
decide to name it that?
Ben: At the time, I was looking for a name that would stand out so I chose that name.
John: Thank you Ben for being with us today. And wish to see you again.
