Charles Darwin

Charles Robert Darwin was born on the 12th of february 1809 in Shewsbury. Charles Dawin went on the hms beagle to reserch an find out about plants and animals. He did his research on the galapagos islands on the coast of south america. The hms beagle left plimouth ,therefor they had to travel across the ocean. They started there research in 1831 and went back home in 1836 ,so they were on there for five years. He found out about plants and animals,on the galapagos islands,and kept a special sketch book.

He started school in shewsbury but then he moved to edembra his mom, sussanah Darwin, also died on that year. His father Robert Darwin ,who was a docter , wanted charles to be a medic altough he hated the sight of the surgury in 1825 he quit medical school for good.

on december 27th, 1831 he went on board of the hms beagle in plimouth his dad didnt want him to go. at the last minute he went on board for 5 years. He was a natrulist. He travelded aroud the coast of america in to the galapagos islands. on the galapagos islands, he found 13 differt types of finches this is when he came up with the idea of evelotion and natural selection and found out that shorter beacked finches died off and evolved into longer becked finches and they adapted to thier surroundings and we avolved from apes.

The cunclusion is that he came up with the idea of natural selection and evelotion animals that were not adapted to there surroundings would seem to perish.
