Titanic Timeline

10th Of April

At 12 noon, the luxurious titanic seat

sail boarding 2200 estimated

passengers to New York City and crew

on board to its voyage from Southampton

14th Of April

The Titanic received 7 messages about

icebergs, causing danger to ships but they steamed ahead anyways

14th of April

4 days after leaving the port, and just 300

miles away

from New York, the lookout crew spotted an iceberg

in Titanic's path, and

at 11:40pm the ship collided with the

iceberg damaging the hull. The crew soon

realised the ship was sinkable and

doomed so alerted the passengers

on board and attempted preparing life boats

Panic

Believing the ship couldn't sink, the crew weren't

trained to deal with the predicament, but tragically the amount of life boats were only enough for half of the passengers, and most boats took women and children

15th Of April

At 2:20am, the Titanic began to rapidly sink,

but although the crew sent distress signals,

no ships came to

help and rescued passengers had to watch in horror

as the unsaved passengers sunk to their tragic death
