The Vikings raided the Monastry on Holy Island . They raided because they wanted to have all precious goods.

And,wanted Monks as slaves because they knew how to

read, write, fight, cook and loads more.Vikings use to raid Lindisfarne because of the Monastry because the Monks use to put gold and silver around it . And, the Monks had loads of Gold and Silver goods that's why they use to raid it.
