Ostriches are native to Africa. They are verterbrates and

a one of the of th eonly flying birds including cockawarrys,

penguins, rhea, emu and and kiwis.

They can run at amazing speeds of 40mph/

70kmh! They're the biggest bird at 7ft-9ft and are omnivores ( eats meat and fruit/veg/leaves). There life span in the

wild is 30-40yrs. They weigh 220lbs-350lbs

( 100kg- 160kg )

Also, a funny fact is that ostriches always put there head in the sand!
