It's Christmas time

Christmas time is around the corner and I am always very excited for this time of year.

We celebrate Christmas on the 25th of December and that means that Jesus Christ is born. My family and I love to decorate the house. Every year I like to get involved in decorating the house and baking Christmas treats. My dad fixes the lights around the house, my mum and I decorate the Christmas tree with lots of ornaments. After my sister bakes ginger bread cookies I decorate them with icing sugar.

I love decorating the Christmas crib with my dad and every year we place something new in it. As a Maltese tradition we like to plant the vetch so when it grows we put it in front of the crib. On the 25th we invite our whole family in our house for a Christmas dinner. We cook turkey and for dessert we serve the Christmas treats we have prepared. We give presents we have bought to our relatives.

I love this time of year because everyone is nice to each other.
