A Hero's Journey
Long ago in 926 AD there lived a king called Ragnar Lothbrook. He lived in the depths of Norway in Scandinavia. He lived a peaceful life in Norway. Next to his house there was a never ending forest, never ending because no one who went in came back out. Though Ragnar had no idea that one day he'd have to enter to save the world.
One dreary Tuesday morning, Ragnar set out to hunt in the never ending forest. Scared, worried, nervous Ragnar walked into the forest. It was dark and he jumped every time he heard a noise. Ragnar managed to hunt 2 deer and 1 rabbit. He found a clearing , and rested there for a while.
Just then a faint hissing sound lurked a few miles away. It was just loud enough for King Ragnar to hear. Because of the strange hissing sound, Ragnar went to investigate. He had found an old and abandoned monastery nevertheless he went inside. Outside he walked with bravery.(Inside however he was trembling with fear.) The hissing became louder and the building became darker and creepier.
At that moment Jormungardr sprang out of the darkness pinning Ragnar to the dark. Ragnar pulled out his sword and stabbed the serpent in the eye. Blood squirted everywhere. Ragnar could hardly move from the pressure buthe managed to stab Jormungardr in the heart. The serpent died and almost fell on King Ragnar.
King Ragnar Lothbrook traveled home and was rewarded with a massive feast and gold. They had loads of fun and everyone wanted a day named after him. King Ragnar was very humble so he refused the idea. Then everything was happy an peaceful for now...
