F2 Photo Blog - The First Christmas -2021

The children have done lots of fun activities to prepare for Christmas. We have read the Christmas Nativity story, and started opening our class advent calendar. The children wrote words from the story, coloured in nativity pictures, and made Christmas present "wish lists". They particularly loved "Santa's Grotto" in the classroom, where they wrapped "presents", wrote letters to Santa, pretended to fix toys with tools, and made cards for friends and family. The First Christmas

For their 2022 calendars, the children made handprint pictures, and did well with lots of other craft activities.
As well as continuing our work on writing and counting, the children have been learning to put the months of the year in order. They also learnt about Advent, the five Advent candles, and what they represent. 

Our classroom now looks very Christmassy! The children worked hard making Christmas tree cards. They also decorated our class Christmas tree, loved dressing up as Nativity characters, and made shape baubles.
