A Hero's Journey

King Leif, the bravest king in the world, sat on his golden, jewel encrusted throne. He was very friendly and wise and was always kind to everyone. He had lots of treasure and even had a map to Mount Jormungandr where the evil serpent The Death Bringer lived!

Just then, King Leif heard shouting, yelling, screeching and screaming. What could be happening?

"Servant! Can you please come downstairs?" Yelled King Leif, frightened.

The servant came downstairs. He looked out the window and gasped! The Death Bringer had come back. The king rapidly ran to his map. He had to collect a magic key from Mount Jormungandr! He ley all the people in the town in his palace so they could be safe. He gathered all his soldiers and some servants to go on the journey to fight the evil serpent!

They got on their Viking longship and set sail of to Mount Jormungandr. It was very dark, stormy and windy in the night and they couldn't see anything at all. Suddenly they hit a rock and their boat sunk! Luckily they got to jump on a rock and they finally reached Mount Jormungandr! At that moment they found a magic key lying on some lush, green grass! Then they found the Death Bringer's home! It was very huge! They inserted the key carefully into the magical mystical door. All of a sudden everything froze. They saw the evil serpent flying in the air and then he died!

At King Leif's palace everyone had a huge party with lots of tasty food and they danced until midnight!
