Ħaġar Qim

Ħaġar Qim temples are very popular all over the world. A wonder of this temple is the Equinox and the Solstice. During the equinox, the sun rises in perfect direction through the main door. The solstice is marked by a beam of light, shining through an edge of a slab and mark like a moon. This will happen every year on the 21st of June, the longest day of the year!

Statues of "Il-Mara l-Ħoxna" have been found at Ħaġar Qim Temples and today they are displayed at the Museum of Archaeology in Valletta.
