Year 6 take part in a Macbeth workshop

Year 6 took part in a Macbeth workshop which was organised by the Young Shakespeare Company.

Liz came to Ashmount, who ran the workshop, told us the play and year 6 acted it out. We had lots of fun!

The play took place in Ashmount and it happened on the 9th

of October on Thursday. Both classes 6blue and 6green partisipated in the play. There were some good acting.

We acted the play in the morning. First Liz told us that there were 3 witches who lived in the forest. Then we acted the play and we had some parts to act. There was a king called King Dulcan who was Ephrahim,(6Green). He has 2 sons, who were Daniel and Esmee, (6Blue). Macbeth, who was Alex,(6Blue) and his best friend Bobby,(6Green), come back from a fight. The witches whisper in Macbeth'ear that he will become King and his wife will become Queen and that his best friends son is going to become King .The witches are right about Macbeth becoming king and his wife but not his best friends son.

We learnt the play of Macbeth which was written by Shakespeare. The workshop was very interesting and it was fun because there were great acting and it was interesting to learn.

I am really excited to go and see the shakespeare play. I think that the peformance in November is going to be more interesting and feel real.
